Afghan Hound Mix

This dog was adopted by my son-in-law's Army platoon in Afghanistan. The Army 'higher ups' have ordered them to release the dog in less than 48 hours. We are desperately looking for a rescue group in Afghanistan that can save this sweet soul and get her back to the states. The platoon was planning on getting her stateside when they return from their tour of duty in January 2011, but the higher ups have ordered them to release her. She is so domesticated now that they have had her for a month that she wouldn't survive outside of their post. Does anyone know any rescue groups in Afghanistan that we can contact? We have already been in ... (Read More)touch with Nowzad. Time is of the essence. You can view the platoon and pictures of JJ on wwww.rcsouthmisfits.com. Thank you! (Rather release her, the vet tech will be putting her down if not rescued) (Less)
